Brian Daboll Wins NFL Coach Of The Year Just As Everyone With A Brain Expected

Well that was the least surprising thing ever, at least to people who know ball. Yeah I used that obnoxious phrase to make myself seem smarter.

But seriously, anybody who has a problem with Brian Daboll winning Coach of the Year can take a long walk off a short pier. Daboll hired a staff that has finalists for multiple head coaching jobs of other teams, set the tone for the season by going for 2 in an Opening Week win against the Titans against the reigning Coach of the Year, and led a team that finished 4-13 last year to a playoff win despite having less talent than that team because The GM That Shall Not Be Mentioned left the franchise in Salary Cap Hell. Pretty impressive stuff for a franchise that hadn't spent A DAY OVER .500 SINCE THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN BEFORE THE 2016 SEASON PLAYOFFS.

There were other coaches that won more games with considerably more talent. But Daboll won with a team that many people predicted to finish in last place of their division and looked cool as fuck while doing it.

Oh yeah and he helped turn his quarterback into a punchline thanks to years of awful coaching and an even worse supporting cast into the Giants quarterback for the foreseeable future after realizing the kind of stud he had under center using his big brain under that beautiful bald head.

By the end of the season, I felt more at peace about the Giants being in good hands than I have since General Coughlin was marching Big Blue's sidelines looking angry as hell. If that's not an indication of the current state of the Giants coaching (as well as the state of the coaching under the last three mamalukes), I don't know what is.
