Girls Don't Belong On A Guys Trip
The question of the day is "Can girls go on guys trips?"

However, the answer is no, a girl on a guys trip is UNACCEPTABLE.
Especially if it's a reoccurring guys' trip, you do not invite the girls. Points deducted from anyone that even mentions bringing the girls. I understand as we get older, more couples form, and people get married, but I don't care. One thing stays the same: Guys trips are guys trips, and couples trips are couples trips. The ONLY exception to that rule is there are none.

Now, let me clarify a few things about the specific trip in question:
1) Five guys were invited, and three of them are married. All three wives were invited. It was originally a couples and friends trip.
2) It turned out that I was the only girl that could go. When that development occurred, I backed out of the trip.
3) The trip was for my husband's 30th birthday, he was hosting the trip. He said, "I still want you to come" I declined a few more times but ultimately decided to go. The deciding factor was his birthday.
4) These guys were in my wedding. I know them very well. I love them like brothers. They have seen me at my worst and my best.

Is there such thing? I don't think I win here. If I say "I'm a guys trip guy" I lose. But, I think I might be a guys trip guy.

After reviewing all the evidence, I've concluded, since this trip was not a guy's trip by initial design, that changes things. This was only a guy's trip because the cards fell that way after the other girls couldn't go. When you consider all exterior factors, my attendance was not a violation of guy code. Was it Ideal? Probably not. But ultimately the host and birthday boy had drafting rights. He recruited me, a free agent who was happy to sit this year out. But he wanted me to play, so he made an appealing offer. And I went.

Had it been a guys trip from the jump and I 1) invited myself or 2) accepted an invite to an all guys trip from the start. That would be a violation
**Yes, I understood the rules of being the only girl. I drank a lot of champagne mixed with Diet Coke on the patio alone. I was happy. They were happy. We all won.
The amount of people who did not catch the joke above made me lose faith in Twitter.
