Jamahal Hill Beats Glover Teixeira's Ass For Five Straight Rounds To Win The UFC Light Heavyweight Championship

Jamahal Hill is the NEW UFC Light Heavyweight Champion! The first fighter from Dana White's Contender Series to win gold!

When you want to talk about all time ass beatings in the UFC from here on out, make sure you bring this one up. Jamahal Hill put on a masterful performance tonight against a legend in Glover Teixeira and cruised to a decision win that easily could've been stopped a few times.

Glover Teixeira was TOUGH AS NAILS in this fight, though, and quite frankly, I can't believe he survived all five rounds - even after this vagina was opened up on his eyebrow....

....but that's exactly who Glover Teixeira has been his entire career: a warrior. Even in fights like this one, where he wasn't necessarily that competitive, he had his moments, landed some huge shots, and snagged his takedowns!

Unfortunately, though, that legendary career came to an end tonight (much like Shogun Rua), as Glover announced his retirement in his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier...

It sucks to lose an icon like this in active competition, but Glover knows he's been in enough wars for his own good and wants to focus on coaching his guys (like Alex Pereira) in retirement. I'm happy for him.

Speaking of guys we're happy for - seeing Jamahal Hill overcome with emotion after the win was amazing….

Those are the moments we watch this sport for! Amazing!

Congrats to the new champ, and to Glover Teixeira - thank you for all of the fights. Future Hall of Famer for sure.

P.S. We interviewed Jamahal on Spinnin Backfist this week, and White Sox Dave helped set it up for us because he plays Call of Duty with Jamahal sometimes. Yes - you read that correctly. White Sox Dave plays Call of Duty with the UFC Light Heavyweight Champ. What a world.
