Deion Sanders Flips 5-Star CB Cormani McClain To Colorado

If Deion Sanders has demonstrated anything in his few years as a head coach, it's that he's going to get elite defensive backs wherever he is. Coach Prime flipped Cormani McClain, the No. 1 corner in the country, from Miami to Colorado and will now have another 5-star to pair with 2022 No. 1 overall recruit Travis Hunter, who followed Sanders from Jackson State.

There was a lot made about Colorado's difficult schedule when it was fully unveiled the other day, but you have to be over the moon with how things have started under Sanders if you're a Buffs fan. Obviously you can't put insane expectations on McClain as a true freshman, but in terms of talent, there may not be a better pair of corners in the country than he and Hunter.

It seems like it's just a matter of time before Coach Prime does in Boulder what he did at Jackson State. When you can recruit at this level — and Sanders is doing this having been at Colorado less than two months — you're going to win. It's about the Jimmies and Joes, as they say.

With a few more weeks until what's still technically known as National Signing Day, maybe there are a couple more elite prospects out there who could end up making their way to Boulder. Regardless, Colorado is already one of the most must-watch teams in college football.
