I Have Never Seen Someone More Disrespected Than The Way Jamal Crawford Was Disrespected In This Tweet

On Monday night, LeBron James scored a season-high 48 points for the Los Angeles Lakers in their win against the Houston Rockets. It was the fifth time that LeBron scored at least 45 points as a 35-year-old or older, which is a really impressive accomplishment. But that is not the purpose of this blog.

The purpose of this blog is to highlight the absolute disrespect towards three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford. StatMuse does great work illustrating some important and interesting statistics around the sports world, and I wouldn't have been able to provide the stat above if it wasn't for their tweet…

LeBron and MJ, of course. The two of them do things on the basketball court that quite literally nobody on this planet can do. But that's not the case for this specific stat. You see that one 45-point game scored by a 35+ year old written as "everyone else" in that tweet? Well, it turns out that person who represents "everyone else" ended up seeing this tweet…

Mean! Disrespectful! Rude! How dare StatMuse not properly identify Jamal Crawford's 51-point game in 2019? Sure he's not as big of a name as Michael Jordan or LeBron James, but what's the harm in being transparent and telling us that he scored 45+ points in a game while being a 35+ year old?!

As of today, he will be known as Jamal "Everyone Else" Crawford (according to me).

EDIT: It turns out that 6 players have actually successfully completed this task. "Everyone else" implies that it was done just once, but for the sake of transparency here is the complete list…

The original tweet by Crawford is still funny, but StatMuse could have said 6 instead of 1 next to the "everyone else" category. I also could have double checked that list, so hand up on my end, too.
