John Wall Was Going To Commit To UNC Until Tyler Hansbrough Was An Asshole Towards Him On His Recruiting Visit

Holy shit what a story from the legend John Wall. Obviously Wall was incredible in college at Kentucky but I had no idea UNC was his dream school. I thought this story was going to be some nonsense about not getting playing time or something but I ran to my computer after I heard what he had to say. As a Duke fan I hated Tyler Hansbrough because he would beat the shit out of Duke and just bleed everywhere. I couldn't stand him and can never stand UNC. I have actually gotten to know Tyler and he's a good guy but fuck him when he played for UNC. 

So John Wall was at his recruiting visit at UNC and he saw that Hansbrough was there in a roped off area with his friends. Like I said he was National Player of the Year and if you know college basketball you know how good Tyler Hansbrough was. So John Wall decides to go up to him, say hello and introduce himself. He does just that as any human would do but Tyler Hansbrough looks at him, doesn't shake his hand and says "I don't talk to recruits". Those 5 words made John Wall never want to play there and go on to have an unreal season at Kentucky, becoming the number 1 overall pick. 

But you know what, thank you Tyler because it would have really sucked having to play John Wall twice in a season. I love the pettiness out of Wall. Snubbing him of a handshake changed Kentucky hoops. He was dead set on going to UNC so he could help his mom but just because Hansbrough was an asshole he changed his mind. 

PS: I have tried to tell you that UNC are the assholes and its all just covered up because Micheal Jordan went there. It is a cool school because of him, but man it is really sad to see the character at UNC is that shitty. Roy Williams probably taught that and it just pains me to see him hurt a generation like that. I would love to hear Tyler Hansbrough's response because he probably doesn't remember, that but thats brutal. I think to not talk to a recruit, especially one who was as highly regarded as Wall, is insane. You can also tell John Wall is still really pissed the way he was treated and this makes me love him even more. Moral of the story is that UNC players are some real assholes.
