Saquon Barkley Calling Daniel Jones An Elite Quarterback Has Me Feeling Those Old Giants Feelings Again

Here I was innocently listening to every football piece of content I could find talk about last night's Giants game while slightly fondling myself when I stumbled upon this quote and almost made a mess.

There are a few trigger words that you can say to Giants fans that will turn them into that emoji with the hearts in the eyes. "Lawrence Taylor" is one. "18 and 1" is another. And "Elite" is more certainly on the list as well because it reminds us of this very elite quarterback that led the Giants to two Super Bowls over the greatest coach, quarterback, and dynasty that we will ever see in the NFL.

As for whether or not Daniel Jones is actually elite, I am (to quote the great Mike Francesa) a very hard marker when it comes to declaring someone the E-word. But if Saquon Barkley says that Daniel Jones is elite, I have no choice but to agree. I'm sure there will be plenty of haters that disagree. But unless they know ball better than SAQUON BARKLEY, I don't want to hear it. Yeah I used the Know Ball Defense, which is as douchey as it gets.

The media and internet has lost the benefit of the doubt when it comes to grading Daniel Jones in my mind when they were calling my little lamb trash after his rookie season when he threw 24 touchdowns in 13 games then had to deal with the worst play caller in the NFL the following two seasons. I remember every slight, every meme, and every shitty quarterback they wanted the Giants to replace him with while firmly buckled in as the driver of The Danwagon and now that he is thriving with a coach that isn't a boob, people can finally see what all of us in the Daniel Jones Hype Group saw years ago, which leads to performances like this.

So if Saquon wants to call him elite, I'm gonna ride with that just live I've been riding with Daniel Jones since he arrived in New York because the only thing better than watching the Giants go on an unlikely run is watching people lose their minds as Giants fans praise their big goofy lovable QB during that ride as an elite player.
