Alabama Basketball Player Darius Miles Is Being Charged With Capital Murder For A Shooting After This Weekend's LSU Game

[Source] - Miles was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail around 6:45 p.m. ET Sunday, an official with the jail told ESPN. In a statement Sunday, the university said Miles, a junior reserve forward from Washington, D.C., is no longer on the team.

Miles, 21, and Michael Lynn Davis, 20, of Charles County, Maryland, were both charged with capital murder. The capital murder charge arose because the death involved shots fired into a vehicle, Kennedy said.

"At this time, it appears that the only motive was a minor altercation that these individuals had with the victim as they were out on The Strip,'' Kennedy said in a news conference Sunday evening. They didn't have a previous relationship, he said.

Just a quick note on a crazy story that dropped during football last night. Alabama basketball player Darius Miles has been charged with capital murder. A simply ridiculous statement to read. Not only is the statement jarring, but there are videos out there on Twitter from a Ring Camera where you can hear the shooting and it helped with charging Miles. I don't want to put those videos in the blog but you can find them if you want.

I don't have much to add but I just don't understand it. How do you have the capability to pull a trigger on a gun shooting someone? Just stop fucking shooting people. Seems like a simple way to live. Miles went from a player on one of the best teams in the country to potentially throwing his life away if these charges are true.

It looks like Alabama went ahead and scrubbed him from all its websites. Unreal.
