Damar Hamlin Says "The Love Has Been Overwhelming" In First Social Media Post Since Cardiac Arrest

YES. Damar Hamlin, you are the man. I loathe saying this typically but will make an exception: YOU ARE HIM.

It's public knowledge now hat Hamlin's heart stopped on the field in Monday's Bills-Bengals game. Once it was reported that he was struggling to breathe on his own after being brought back, the outlook seemed rather ominous. Not even a week later, and Hamlin is already jumping on video calls with Bills teammates to lift their spirits, and now he's plenty able to speak for himself on social media.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell released a statement earlier on Saturday to describe the type of league-wide tribute to Hamlin there'd be in Week 18:

Little else left to say about Damar Hamlin really. His scary, life-threatening situation wound up transforming into an inspiring, unifying movement as anyone with even a soft awareness of the NFL came together to support for him.

Hamlin was sure to end his post by saying he still has a long road ahead toward recovery. Nevertheless, it's impossible not to be hopeful considering how far he's come in just a mere matter of days. You genuinely love to see it.
