IG Model Claims Jake Paul Hooked Up With Her, Then Asked Her to Tell Everyone Just for 'Clout' and to Get Back at His Ex Julia Rose

This was Julia Rose and Jake Paul in happier times. Reportedly dating for a while, it would appear they are no longer together. Which is sad to be sure. But not unexpected when you're famous, successful celebrities. It's hard for a couple to endure under normal circumstances. But when he's maintaining a boxing career and she has a job looking super attractive in photos:

…well, that's a lot of pressure to put on any relationship.

And when things don't work out, the best anyone can hope for is an amicable split. A mutual parting of the ways, where you try your best to remember the good times, wish all the best for your ex, and move on with the rest of your life a little wiser, and a little better for having known them.

Or, as an alternative, you might do what Rose's rival Instagram model Sky Bri - who has 1.1 million followers to Rose's 1.0 million - is alleging Paul did:

"OK, so like, I've never really talked about this, but with Jake, the first night I hung out with him, he flew me to Puerto Rico. The first conversation we had was like, ‘This is for clout.’ He was like, ‘At the end of this, I want you to post it.’"

Asked whether she saw it as just a weird, rebound revenge thing, she says it definitely was.

"He wanted it to be be very mutually beneficial. Like, ‘You’re going to run with this. You can post about it, get the clout from it, whatever, and I’m probably going to make Julia mad and get the revenge I need.’ So it was very mutually beneficial."

A few things about this. First, maybe it's just me and my obsessiveness over people's verbal tics. But how does anyone become an uptalker like this? It's not occasional. It's every, single utterance. To the point that as I was quoting her comments, I debated whether to replace every punctuation mark with a "?" because it's her only inflection. Do you not hear yourself? Would you talk like this if you were giving a speech before congress? Delivering a eulogy? Making a 911 call as your house was burning down? Mute the sound and she's a Hollywood 9. Unmute it, and she's a Boston 5. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk.

Second, I'm not sure that when a gentleman (allegedly) flies you to Puerto Rico in order to give you both "clout" and get into his ex-girlfriend's brain, starting a story on the No Jumper podcast with, "I've never talked about this" defeats the whole purpose. If her story is true, Paul clearly backed the wrong horse here. He (supposedly) didn't ask her to keep a secret. He (according to her) asked her to shout it from the rooftops. There's a world of 'Gram models who would've loved the opportunity to take a tropical vacation and brag about some commitment-free celebrity sex. And would've paid off the gesture with photos, anecdotes, humblebrags suggesting how great it was. They wouldn't have kept it to themselves until they were on a basketball-named podcast.

And if it's true, I guess you can respect Paul's power move. Maybe moving on and wishing your ex well is the healthier option. But there's a certain flair to finding someone else, having revenge sex, and making damn sure your ex knows about it. As the old saying goes, "For her, it's not over until he says 'I love you.' For him, it's not over until he's told his friends about it." And having a highly successful IG model talk about it is 1.1 million times better.

To be clear, I'm not insisting Sky Bri is telling the truth. But if she is, Paul needs to find someone more reliable next time. This was a waste of airfare.
