Of Course Zion Is Out for At Least 3 Weeks Because Things Were Going Too Well For the Pels

It was going too well for the Pelicans. Something had to give...

New Orleans is in 3rd place in the West at 23-14. The Pelicans are the most exciting young team in the NBA. Everyone in New Orleans has bought in completely and they have one of the best home court edges in the league.

After missing the entire 2021-22 season, Zion was TORCHING the NBA and ascending to superstar status. And FINALLY healthy. So much for that....

Zion strained his right hamstring Monday night in the loss at Philly. He is now out at least three weeks. Brandon Ingram, the other star player on the team has been out since November 25th with a toe injury. The Pels were 12-6 with Ingram and are 11-8 without him. There is currently no timetable for Ingram's return.

Now the depth of the young team will be tested. Thankfully, they have a great veteran leader in CJ McCollum to ease the pain along with a crew of exciting young players such as Trey Murphy, Herb Jones & Jose Alvarado.

I have FAITH the Pelicans will still be really tough to beat in The Blender without Zion and BI but will struggle on the road as young teams do.

I am starting a new tradition tonight with Pelicans Parlay Pluses on the Barstool Sportsbook.
