Ed Reed Is Going To Be An AWESOME College Head Football Coach
Awesome, awesome news coming out of Bethune-Cookman today. Ed Reed is an elite football mind and it’s CRAZY that nobody had hired this man to run their program yet. Especially in light of how Deion elevated Jackson State.
Ed’s wanted to run the show for a long time. Tried his hand as an assistant DB’s coach with the Bills a few years back but he was too far removed from the action. Let’s be honest, Ed Reed is an assistant DB to nobody, even if he’s just getting his feet wet at the whole coaching thing. He’s bided his time and did the whole “Chief of Staff” thing at the U (mostly for the vibes) but now he’s ready to run the ship. If I’m a young whippersnapper playing DB in high school, there’s nobody else I’d rather play for. All due respect to Deion, but the wisdom and absurdly high football IQ that Ed brings to the table is unmatched. His peers and opposing coaches have always raves about the way he sees the game differently. The opportunity to absorb even a drop of that is invaluable. Can’t wait to see where he takes that program.
