Rowdy Beers. This kid was destined to become a college football legend the moment he was born. His parents knew the exact future that lied ahead of their baby boy, and now he's executing it to perfection.
Now if I were Rowdy Cold Ones, my dream wouldn't be to make it to the NFL. No siree. The only thing I'd be thinking about right now is how to spend the next 6-7 years in college having the time of my life. Red shirt freshman year. Try to finagle yourself a covid year. Maybe a gap year somewhere in the middle and push it to 8-years or so.
Either way, all of these other college football players have it all wrong. Why try to just spend 3 years in school and then make the jump to the NFL? Just so you can get paid? As the late great Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Mo money, mo problems". You should want to stay in school for as long as you can and live it up. You can't put a price on that experience. You have the rare opportunity to make Blue Mountain State your actual life. Why would you waste that on trying to go pro as soon as possible?
I bet a kid like Rowdy Beers gets it. So here's to hoping Rowdy Tall Boys has himself one of the most legendary college careers we've ever seen both on the field and off.
