Lebron Didn't Fuck Up With "The Decision"

I'm going to make this as quick as I can.

I fucking HATE Lebron James. LOATHE him. On my all time Mt. Rushmore of hated athletes, he definitely has a spot next to Brett Favre and Leury Garcia. The 4th spot is vacant. Someone should fill it.

His little TV special known as "The Decision" was one of the most self-centered, egotistical, cringeworthy things I've ever watched. It made me sick. Here is it:

It quickly shifted his public perception to "fuck this douche" from "he's a nice home grown hero!!!"

But was it a fuck up? Eddie thinks so:

But I'm not so sure. It's not really at all to me, at least.

To me, a fuck up is an extreme trouble or inconvenience (legal or illegal) trouble you made for yourself or someone else. A tactical error. EXAMPLE: Chris Webber calling timeout in the final 4. ANOTHER EXAMPLE: Pete Carrol opting to pass the ball on the goal line in the waning moments of Super Bowl 49 instead of giving the ball to the best RB in the NFL at the time. A THIRD EXAMPLE: Sydnie Wells thought I killed her dad's trophy buck because she didn't watch me close enough when hunting and I'm a "wild card", as she puts it. She thought she fucked up so bad that her father was gonna end her life.

Did Lebron fuck up? Ehhhh... kinda/sorta. But I HIGHLY doubt he drove home with that pit in his stomach, terrified of what his parents were going to do to him, frantically thinking about how to finagle his way out of the "fuck up".

Instead he went on to carve out perhaps the greatest career in NBA history, win a ton of championships, MVPs, endorsement deals, and everything else. His little special was the douchiest move of all time, but fuck up? Na. Not really. Nothing bad happened to him after that, aside from meathead fans yelling at him because they were pissed he went to Miami instead of their team.

Not gonna say it's not a little teeny weeny fuck up. It was. His stigma took quite the blow. But to be drafted at all, let alone as high as it was? NO FUCKING WAY.

That's all I have to say about that. All is well that ends well, and Lebron has wound up JUST fine.
