There Is Simply No One Better At Losing Their Shit On Refs Than Fran McCaffrey

I don't know what it is but this video has made me laugh harder than I care to admit. Dude went straight crazy eyes while being held back by every single assistant coach he's ever had. Honestly, it's just great. Sure it might have been a *bad* decision considering he got a technical foul and Iowa ended up losing to Wisconsin in overtime. But the point is he set the tone for the ref. If you even think about looking at Fran again he might just run over there and slap you. I know it's easy to make fun of, but I respect Fran's ability to have these insane outbursts 8-42 times a year. It doesn't matter if he's playing Wisconsin or in the NIT, Fran will stomp around, go crazy eyes and lose his mind. Best in the game at it. 

I know I've missed blogging on college basketball this season like I have in the past. I miss it. It's been a bizarre year because while there are very, very good teams - UConn, Purdue, Virginia, etc, it's still a pretty open season. UConn looks like the No. 1 team in the country right now but now they have to go from Hurley as the underdog to the favorite. Young teams will likely figure it out. But it feels like another year where we can see double digit seeds in the Elite Eight. 

I'll have a blog on all that soon. But this blog is for Fran. A guy who is the main reason Trent got a job here - one of my favorite backstories ever. Who would have thought this guy would help another Iowan break 90? 

It's truly impressive to be that mad all the time. Then again if I lost Kris Murray to injury I'd be on tilt too.
