I Took A Hard Fall From Barstool Grace at RNR

I took a pretty dang large fall from Grace at Barstool Sports last night at Rough N Rowdy.

I “went against the family” supporting Parker “The Cajun Punisher” over my co-worker Grace O’ Malley and it ended quite poorly as Grace won in a decision fairly decisively. 

I walked out with Parker for the fight & threw some Mardi Gras beads at Dave & Big Cat. 

Dave’s response was pretty funny if you like dark humor.

“Barstool Mintzy is throwing his career at me” 

OUCH.

And then I started taking shots from everywhere on Twitter. Shockingly Brandon Walker had some thoughts.

Even Josh Richards of BFFs chimed in. At least he knows my name now I guess?

So the question is why would I subject myself to this outrage from everywhere? 

EMPATHY.

Parker is a college kid who took this fight on one week notice & flew up from Louisiana with two friends supporting her. 

I cannot imagine how overwhelming that must have been going against 5,000 die hard Stoolies with hardly any time to prepare at that age & two supporters.

I moved to New York from Louisiana knowing no one 2 years ago but at least I was 37 years old. I would have been terrified at her age.

All things considered, I thought Parker fought hard and should hold her head up high. 

And I got bad news for the #FireMintzy movement…. ya’ll are stuck with me for THREE MORE YEARS!
