EIGHTH GRADER Trent Seaborn Threw For 5 Touchdowns And Led His Team To A Win In The Alabama 7A State Championship Game

Is Trent Seaborn the best football player in America?

This wasn't an eighth grader stepping in to play a regular season game for a school with 300 students after the two varsity quarterbacks got hurt. This kid walked into Jordan-Hare Stadium — against Auburn High School, ironically enough — for the Alabama 7A state championship game and threw the ball all over the yard to the tune of 207 yards and five touchdowns. I'm guessing he could have had a few more yards and scores through the air if Thompson wasn't winning 49-10 in the fourth quarter, too.

Seaborn took over the Thompson starting job late in the season and finished the year with 1,181 yards and 14 touchdowns. He reportedly already has offers from Maryland, Troy and Northern Colorado, but every school in America should offer this kid right now before it's too late.

Seaborn is also a leader like you read about, handing his MVP plaque over to one of his receivers who caught four of his five touchdown passes.

Nick Saban should have already been at Thompson High School this morning if he's still planning on being Alabama's head coach in another five years. Trent Seaborn is the future.
