Just A Regular World Cup Press Conference: A Serbia Player Had To Deny He's Having An Affair With A Teammate's Wife

If you were wondering how could this World Cup get weirder, well here we go. Dusan Vlahovic, one of Serbia's star players, had to explain he's not having an affair with a teammate's wife. In fact that's not why he's missed a match and came on as a sub in the other. It's because he has a groin injury. Get it right, dummies. In fact he even blames it's people who are trying to ruin the national team. That's the perfect explanation. 

Now this isn't the first time we've heard of teammate's in this situation. Tony Parker and Brent Barry say what's up. Mauro Icardi and Maxi Lopez in the soccer world have long been a story here. But being at the World Cup and having to sound like Bill Clinton is not ideal. Not when you need to win your last match for a chance to advance out of your group. Can't start a press conference that way, it's that simple. 

I will say I believe him. I don't know why but I just do. Maybe it's the fact he's threatening legal action against those who started the rumors. That's usually the big step people take to where I'm ready to believe someone. Maybe it's because he does actually have a groin injury.

I know what you're thinking. Who is the teammate and wife? The answer is goalie Predrag Rajkovic. I'll be honest. I would never and I mean NEVER piss off a guy with a name like that. That's for sure a guy who would beat my ass no matter his size, profession or anything else. I'd apologize for saying hi to his wife.

That dude would beat the shit out of me and a lot of other people. I don't care what you think about soccer, I trust instincts here. I guess good for Dusan for addressing it though. It'd be easy to just not say anything. But the fact you have to start a press conference threatening legal action against people and deny this is just insane. Another day in the soccer world.
