A Saudi Arabian Club Reportedly Offered Ronaldo A $225 Million Deal Because They Know None Of The Good Teams In Europe Want Him

[Source] - Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed an offer to play on into his 40s with Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr ready to hand him a three year deal after the World Cup, according to CBS Sports sources.

Al Nassr hope that following the tournament Ronaldo will be keen to break new ground and after extensive talks with his representatives sources close to the club say their interest is "stronger than ever." The terms on offer to Ronaldo are understood to be worth $75 million a year.

Ronaldo asked to leave Manchester United in the summer, but none of Europe's biggest clubs were prepared to offer him the platform of Champions League football that he craved.

This didn't take long and it's not shocking. This is right up the Saudi Arabia sports playbook. Go look at LIV for all you need to know about that. But the fact is this is a harsh reality for Ronaldo. It's not me saying it. This isn't me hating. It's reported that the good clubs in Europe don't want to deal with him. It says it above. There's also this:

Honestly good for them not to give in just because his name is Ronaldo. He's a disaster in the locker room. He'll throw anyone and everyone under the bus. He forces his way out of Juventus, out of Manchester United and it's never his fault. So why would you want that if you're already successful as a club? Not to mention he's 37 years old. It's not like you're getting primetime Ronaldo.

Now part of me wants him to decline it because the Saudis are planning on doing this in hoping it lands them the 2030 World Cup. No thank you. We don't need that. The World Cup should be in soccer countries and countries that can host the event. We're already seeing the shitshow that is Qatar, don't need to add Saudi Arabia to the list for the same decade. Just put it in Europe.

But by all accounts don't be surprised to see Ronaldo out there. He'll see the money. He'll see the offers on the table or lack of them from clubs he wants to go to. This is just step 1 and it sounds like a decision will be made right after the World Cup.
