Approximately 40,000 Minks Were Released From Their Cages And Unleashed On A Small Ohio Town

Van Wert County Sherriff Department- Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach released that his Office is investigating a breaking & entering/vandalism complaint at Lion Farms USA Mink Farm in Hoaglin Township that occurred during the overnight hours of November 15, 2022. Suspect(s) destroyed fencing, and approximately 25,000-40,000 Mink were released from their cages.

The Sheriff warns local residents and area farmers that Minks are carnivorous mammals that stick to a diet consisting of fresh kills. They regularly hunt prey bigger than themselves. As a result, they can be a bothersome pest for homeowners, livestock owners, and property managers. Minks have proven to be especially costly and problematic for poultry ranchers as well as homeowners with ornamental ponds filled with koi and other fish.

You have heard about NYC's battle with rats, but we got an outnumbering in Van Wert, Ohio, due to some eco-terrorists releasing 40,000 minks on 28k residents.

Do not approach the Minks. They are serious predators that are pretty much vicious mini velociraptors, as Sherriff Riggenbach described:

These minks are considered domesticated animals/livestock.  Domesticated mink generally will not survive in the wild because they lack natural survival skills.  There is a difference between domesticated animals and wild animals. Sheriff Riggenbach advises people not to approach loose mink because they might bite. If mink is spotted, call Lion Farms or a nuisance trapper so the animals can be recaptured by experienced handlers.

The thing is, these activists don’t realize that these domestic mink would absolutely destroy the ecosystem and kill wild mink as well as every other native critter.

Not only that, it is rare most of these mink will survive because they suck at hunting due to being domestic. These mink will either all die or totally take over the ecosystem, both of which are terrible outcomes for animals. These activists didn't save shit and probably should get charged with 40,000 counts of cruelty to animals if all the minks die inhumanely.

The group responsible for this appears to have spray painted where they broke into the farm. ALF stands for Animal Liberation Front. These guys did worse for these minks and surrounding animals than anybody. Though many think the domestic minks will just die off, I have a feeling from this guy who uses minks to kill rats and pests that won't be the case.

Meet "Minkenry", which is the ultimate YouTube rabbit hole where a guy

He just decimates rats with his trained minks. His job is taking all his trained minks to random farms and killing all the rats. You can see his gruesome rat hunting videos here.

If anything, we need to take this guy, capture as many of these domesticate minks as possible, and release them in New York. If you didn't know, NYC just declared war on rats.

If the ALF really cared about these minks, they would have kidnapped them and sent them to NYC to just 1v1 the rats. I would much rather have minks with pretty coats roaming the city rather than giant disease-infested rats. Even though we would definitely see tons of people get attacked by minks, they would kill the rats and keep their populations down.

For now, all NYC has is bodega cats. They are the thin fur line separating us from chaos.
