Jayson Tatum Was Given A Tech For Clapping And Even Kevin Durant Agrees It's The Worst Call He's Ever Seen

I've seen a lot of shit in my day watching NBA basketball. You see bad calls basically any time you turn on any game in the league right now. Despite all the basketball I've watched, I don't think I've ever seen someone get a tech like Jayson Tatum did tonight

Clapping. He got a technical for clapping.

Not even in a way to show up the official. He had just missed a layup on the other end and then committed a bad foul. He knew he fucked up, he was mad at himself. Hence the frustration single clap. How that earns you a technical foul is beyond me and really beyond comprehension at any level. You know how I know that?

I have no doubt that the league is going to rescind that tech, just like they did when Tatum got a tech for a call the same officials had to immediately overturn. I just don't know how Adam Silver can see that and think this is good for his product. He needs to clean it up and he needs to do it pronto. We've already seen officials blow calls that decided the outcome of games and now we're giving techs to players for clapping.

Meanwhile the Celts are in a dogfight with OKC after mostly playing like shit all night. Not a fun night all around to be honest.
