Dustin Poirier Called Michael Chandler A "Dirty Motherfucker" After Their Fight For Fishhooking Him

After their instant classic at Madison Square Garden last night, Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler exchanged some words in the octagon that Chandler revealed he wasn't too happy about in his post-fight presser. When asked about what was said, though, he didn't want to 'out' what Poirier said to him.

“I went over there - I’m a man of my word. I said win, lose, or draw, I would shake his hand and be respectful after. Something was said, and I didn’t really like it, so we’re still friends/enemies/whatever we are."

Poirier, on the other hand, had no problem telling the media that he called Michael Chandler a "dirty motherfucker" for putting his fingers in his mouth to fishhook him and blowing his nose on him during the fight - but that it's all good now.

I didn't see it in real time, but replays revealed that Chandler DID, in fact, hit Poirier with a fishhook mid-fight in attempt to pull his head up for a choke....

….which Chandler admitted to doing after the fight; but he said it was unintentional.

“Yes, I will admit - his mouth was open and my hand went in there and on his mouthpiece. He bit down as I was trying to pull it out. It wasn’t like I was trying to pull it out, and he was biting it and I couldn’t get it out. It was more just the angle. I mean you’re getting pushed up against the cage."

Dustin Poirier said he definitely disagreed with that explanation, and felt that it was intentional, but again - that he's already over it.

Chandler also addressed blowing his nose onto Dustin's face mid-fight, saying it wasn't a weird/malicious thing, but moreso him just trying to breathe….

They also exchanged some respectful words post-fight as well, so it wasn't all "dirty motherfuckers" and whatnot….

Did Poirier have that "Without fear, there is no bravery" line locked and loaded or what?! That sounded like a quote someone would hit at the end of a fighting movie or something.

P.S. Poirier/Chandler is an absolute must watch fight if you missed it….
