Shocking: The Michigan State/Gonzaga Game On An Aircraft Carrier Already Sounds Like A Disaster

So everywhere I've seen today that this game is supposed to be impacted by wind. Seen roughly 8mph which doesn't sound like a lot until you remember that they are playing on a goddamn aircraft carrier. You ever try shooting a ball with some light wind? It 100% has an impact. Don't believe me:

At 10:30am on the Barstool Sportsbook this line was 147.5.

At 11:45am it's now this:

Now don't get me wrong the look of playing on an aircraft carrier is awesome as shit:

But we're talking about major college basketball here. I saw a stat that there have been 8 total made 3s made in this game. Probably, because, again, we're playing outside. Just put this game inside like the Nova/Oklahoma game a few years back in Hawaii.

Now I'm all for getting creative, but major college basketball games should be played indoors - like the Barstool Sports Invitational.

If these games matter - which they do months from now when we're looking at seeding - you can't play them in this sort of environment. That said, I'm cheering for wind. It's like cheering for the course in golf. Give me mayhem. Give me balls getting pushed so it doesn't even hit the backboard on a shot. Give me passes going haywire because the wind has a serious push. I want mayhem if we're going to play in this sort of game. I want mayhem if I'm seeing a basketball tweet and getting a full on weather report.

If you're betting this, I'd keep an eye on that total. If it drops to 139.5 (or maybe 140) with this report I'm taking the over. Both teams want to run. Gonzaga's best lineup is 3 guards, Strawther and Timme. There's no rim protection and struggle in ball screens. Michigan State doesn't really have someone who can handle Timme in the post. So if it's going to drop take advantage of it.

Again, just follow the Barstool Sports Invitational route:

I broke down this game more with my guy Rob Dauster over on my YouTube show today. Going forward it will be at 11am every Tuesday/Thursday. Do a favor and subscribe here:
