If You Don't Believe In Justin Fields By Now Then The Problem Is You

This guy gets better every single week. There was a moment earlier in the season where doubt did creep in for me. That Green Bay game in primetime where the Bears didn't even contemplate throwing the ball down field was a scary moment if you tried to read the minds of Getsy and Eberflus. Since then though there has been nothing but progress. Baby steps, then training wheels, a permit, and yesterday in Dallas it felt like Fields was allowed to drive his car alone for the first time.

Windows down, music up, and driving up and down the field. Sure, it's a junker and his friends are idiots you hope he leaves behind as he grows up, but you can trust him to make good decisions and be a leader in the future. And yet...there are haters in my mentions every Sunday. The Catholic Church would be THRIVING if they had as many parishioners on sundays as Fields has haters

It's time for the haters to let go. It's okay to believe in Fields. It's actually the right thing to do for you and for him. He's a good player who is tough as nails and always improving. There will be bumps in the road this season and in the future, but realistically yesterday should've been a speed bump. Short week, on the road, and going against one of the better defenses in the league and Fields and his offense put up 29 points. If Monty doesn't fumble that possession late for a quick 6 going the other way then the Bears are probably in that game and inside the number right up until the final whistle. Again.

17 of 23 for 151 and 2 TDs with zero interceptions while running for 60 yards. Mooney more involved. Harry got involved. Kmet scored his first TD since the pandemic. This team needs a lot of work on both sides of the ball, but I think they can plant a flag with Fields now. We have a guy at QB. I like our coaching staff A LOT. You can build in a genuine way when you aren't spending all of your time looking for a competent QB. I don't know what the ceiling is for Fields, but if 29 points on the road with zero QB turnovers is the floor I will take that all day. The rebuild has a cornerstone. Embrace that and just let yourself be happy.
