Louisville Basketball Just Lost To Lenoir-Rhyne University (A Division II School) In An Exhibition Game

One week from tomorrow, the college basketball regular season begins. 363 teams will begin with a clean record and each of them will have the hope of having a great season that ends in some March magic.

But even though the real games haven't started yet, things are not going well for the University of Louisville. The Cardinals lost to Lenoir-Rhyne University by 10 earlier today today, which is a Division II school with 1,825 undergraduate students.

This is a new era for Louisville, as former New York Knicks Assistant Coach Kenny Payne is now the man in charge for the Cardinals. Louisville is coming off a very bad season in 2021-22, where it fired Chris Mack in the middle of the season and ended up 13-19 overall. The Cardinals have not won a NCAA Tournament game since Rick Pitino at was at the helm in 2017.
