Sam Hartman And Wake Forest Turned The Ball Over SIX Times In What Has To Be The Worst Quarter Of Football Ever Played By One Team

Wake Forest went into halftime with a 14-13 lead over Louisville. One quarter and six Sam Hartman turnovers later, the Demon Deacons trailed 48-14.

I've truly never seen anything like it. Hartman threw two pick sixes, fumbled the ball three times and added another interception for good measure. It was legitimately unbelievable.

I was certain six turnovers in a quarter had to be some sort of record, but it turns out Oklahoma State also accomplished the feat of ineptitude in 2010. So I guess that's something to cling to if you're a Wake Forest fan.

But giving the ball away six times in a quarter and getting outscored 35-0 is quite obviously about as bad as it gets. Deacs are in the mud.
