$EBR's European Lunch Menu Is A Buffet Of Winners!
Halloween weekend is here and if you are not getting after it during lunch on Friday, you are not doing it right. I'm not talking about ripping shots of Pink Whitney yet, but a couple of Big Deal Brewing Golden Ales and a hearty European 3 course meal will set the tone for the holiday weekend.
League: Czech Extraliga
Appetizer: Obložené Chlebíčky - small open-faced appetizer sandwiches featuring assorted eggs, meats, cheeses, and vegetables and are meant to be eaten in a few small bites. Great beer snack in case you need up having too many and skip the main course you will still have a solid base.
Game: Ceske Budejovice at Kometa Brno
Time: 11 am EST.
Murls’ Best Bet: Kometa Brno 3-way -134
League: DEL Germany
Main Course: Matrosenfleisch - Traditional German meat dish originating from Bremen region of the country. This comfort food is made with beef tenderloin, bacon, flour, butter, onions, parsley, beef stock, sour cream, lemon peel, capers, marjoram, salt, and pepper. Grab a side of Spätzle and you will be ready to be on the beers all the way through the late NHL games.
Game: Straubing Tigers at Bremerhaven Fischtown Pinguins
Time: 1:30 pm EST.
Murls’ Best Bet: Bremerhaven 3-way -112
League: Swiss A-League
Dessert: Apricot Cake - Apricot halves are pushed into the buttery base of the cake and then the cake is baked before being served. I loved this dessert when I was in Swiss, I always doubled up on the whipped cream.
Game: SC Bern at Rapperswil Lakers
Time: 1:45 pm EST.
Murls’ Best Bet: Bern Moneyline +135
Look for long time NHL point producer Tyler Ennis to shake off the jet lag for this game, and to find his name on the scoresheet 2-3 times!
Just a reminder we are less than a week away from the premier of The Chiclets Etc. podcast featuring Colby "Army" Armstrong and myself talking all things hockey with Biz and Whit. Make sure to have paper and pen ready as we will be giving out winners all show!!
