Our Decades-Long Nightmare Is Over, Knicks Fans: Jalen Brunson Has Arrived To Save Us

Say it with me everyone. Jalen Brunson is good. Jalen Brunson has always been good. I don't know why people continue to overthink this. I don't mean to hijack my pal Feits with his David Price/Tukka Rask is good. But this is correct for Jalen Brunson. I don't want to hear it's been 4 games. You know what Knicks fans haven't been able to watch for 4 games? 

Good point guard play. 

A real guard. It's basically been since the John Starks, Chris Childs, Charlie Ward, Mark Jackson run. Maybe Marbury? Sure, Linsanity was there but no one actually thought he could be a starting lead guard for the Knicks. He had that hot streak. Jalen Brunson isn't on a hot streak. He's just good at basketball. He was good in high school. He was great in college. He's good in the NBA.

Again, I'm not saying he's leading us to a title. But we finally have a guard that can play multiple years and start for us. That's a miracle. I never thought I'd say that. Our point guard list rivals the Browns quarterback list that always goes viral. I know it's only 4 games, but a nice little 20/8.5/4.5 stat line gets it going for me. I can look at that all day and feel a little something inside.

I'm 35-years old and have been watching the Knicks basically since birth thanks to my old man and family. This is going to sound really sad - Jalen Brunson is a top-3 guard I've seen play for the Knicks. I don't even think I'm saying that as an overreaction. Part of it is how bad the Knicks have been. Part of it is how good Brunson has been. 

I'm going to enjoy this. All of us Knicks fans should enjoy this. We haven't seen this, so sit back and let Jalen Brunson cook. We finally have a point guard. Our decades long nightmare is over.
