Flashing Your High Beams At Another Car So They Stand Down Is A Power Move

We are firmly in fall and it's getting darker sooner and sooner every day. Last weekend we were having a bunch of family over to celebrate my son's birthday and I forgot something at the store. So I made the late night trek to the grocery store (if you haven't been to the grocery store late at night, I'd highly recommend it. Without a lot of people crowding it it's a very enjoyable place). Driving through the burbs where there are two lanes. One going one way and another going another. So you're never passing a car going the same direction as you. But sometimes there are cars parked on the street and that can create only enough space for one car to pass through at a time.

It's typically very cordial and whoever is there first will go through very slowly and then the other car will slow down and stop and they will pass through once you're out. However, last weekend I was checking my high beams in the darker night and noticed another car coming into an area where a car was parked on the side of the road. So one of us would have to go through at a time. We got there at similar times, but my high beams signaled the guy to stand down and he did. Like the punk ass bitch he is! It was awesome! I tried this move out on the way home and it worked again!

From now on, I'm going to be pulling this move all the time. It's almost like a low key personal police siren.
