Spending All Your Money To Buy ALCS Tickets So You Can Run On The Field And Meet Jose Altuve Before Security Arrests You Is An Interesting Way To Spend Your Last Few Dollars

Wild scene last night before the top of the 9th when a fan ran onto the field in Houston. As is tradition they didn't show it on TV which is insanely dumb, let us see this crumb bum who is holding up the game. I kind of thought it was a Yankees fan trying to do something to disrupt the Astros momentum heading into the final frame. Nope it was an Astros fan who ran right up to Jose Altuve and just asked for a selfie. Very bizarre as they seemed like old friends just catching up...until security got out there and removed him and we got on with the game

This is something you can't do. Three outs away from winning Game 2 to go up 2-0 in the ALCSand you want to run on the field and hold it up? Ice your closer? What is wrong with you? Well probably a lot but that is beyond the point.

Then after the game we got a full explanation from Jose Altuve. The fan simply wanted a selfie and wanted to also tell Altuve that the Astros needed to win the game because he spent all his money on Astros playoff tickets, which kind of sucks for him because now he doesn't have bail money. So he's in quite a pickle.

But look at good guy Altuve, who said he wanted to take a selfie with the guy but then security came. He's all about the people. He's trying to make up for lost times with the fans by meeting one of them before security slammed his face through the diamond. What a good guy Altuve is.

This scene reminded me of when we get a dog or a kid running on a slow pitch softball field. You see those videos of the kids running out to shortstop to tell their daddy they want ice cream or something on the ride home, same energy here. This guy didn't get a selfie but at least he got a bunch of nice Getty images where you can see him being dragged away by security so he could spend the night in a holding cell. Good times!
