People Don't Understand How Difficult It Is To Be A Philly Sports Fan With 3 Nationally Televised Games Tonight

Philadelphia never asked to be the center of the sports universe. It's not something that we went out searching to become. But obviously somebody has to do it, and we are the only city in the world who can handle such a burden.

But tonight? Well tonight is no simple task. Because let's take a look at what's on deck for tonight.

  • 7pm // Flyers vs Lightning // ESPN
  • 7:30pm // Sixers vs Celtics season opener // TNT
  • 8:03pm // Phillies vs Padres NLCS Game 1 // FS1

3 games all starting within an hour of each other, 3 nationally televised broadcasts. Now don't cry for me, Argentina. I'm not looking for any sympathy or pity here. All I'm trying to say is that the rest of the world has no idea how hard it is to be a Philly fan sometime. Being a Philly sports fan is easily the most difficult and demanding job on the planet.

I mean just think about what we're going to have to do tonight just to support our squads. You're going to need to put one game on the TV, you're going to have to Chromecast another game to a separate screen, and then what? Stream another game on your laptop? Maybe break out the iPad? Then you need to keep your phone available for Twitter. You don't want to listen to the national broadcast of the Phillies game so you also need to stream the Franzke and LA call on radio. God forbid Leah Hextall is on the call for the Flyers tonight. Think about how much is going on with just figuring out the logistics behind watching all of these games, and that's not even including the stress behind watching them all.

But this is what Philly was built for. These are the days that separate us from the rest of the country. It won't be easy, but nothing in life that's worth having ever is. Luckily the one thing that'll make it all better is when the Philly Special hits tonight. Available now exclusively on the Barstool Sportsbook. Bet responsibly.
