The Guardians Pissed Away A Perfect Opportunity To Eliminate The Yankees And Now We’re Headed Back To New York

The Yankees won. The Guardians lost. We’re heading to Game 5. What else do you want me to say?

Do you want me to say that my entire family got downtown at 1 pm to watch the Browns get their backs beaten out 38-15 by the Patriots and then bought tickets to the Guardians game in which we went down 3-0 and never really came close? Okay, I’ll say it. Today sucked.

Wasted an opportunity to have one of the best days in Cleveland / family history, and now we’re driving home jam packed with 8 people j to a 6 person SUV trying to bring up the morale.

I do not have one good thing to say about tonight. From the top of the 1st inning, we never held a lead. Gerrit Cole proved why he is their Ace, and he’s now 2-0 in the series. Credit to Gerrit Cole, he’s good.

If you think that I’m down and out though, you are very wrong. Tomorrow is the definition of a bullpen game and Cleveland’s bullpen is better than the Yankeees. That is an objective fact.

If you told me heading into this series that we were heading to Game 5 tied 2-2 then I would’ve taken it. Civale going for the Guardians and Jameson Taillon (never heard of him) going for the Yankees. And I expect to see Civale for about 2 innings before we head to the bullpen, which is probably the biggest difference in this series. When both teams are in the bullpen in the 4th inning tomorrow, I’ll feel great. We just need to keep it close at the beginning, which we were unable to do tonight.

Long story short: tonight sucked. It’s not over. Yankees sucks. We’ll see you tomorrow night in Game 5.
