Trouble In Paradise: Alabama QB Ty Simpson Is Liking Tweets Saying He Should Be Playing Over Jalen Milroe

Uh oh!

Alabama is getting ready for possibly the game of the year in college football when the No. 3 Crimson Tide travel to Knoxville to take on the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers. But with Bryce Young's status still unknown — though it seems more likely than not he'll play — third-string quarterback Ty Simpson is liking tweets from last weekend saying he should have relieved Jalen Milroe in Bama's tight 24-20 win over Texas A&M. Milroe completed 12 of 19 pass attempts for 111 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.

I'm no expert in team chemistry, but this seems like something you'd rather not have going on in your quarterback room when you're about to play the No. 6 team in the country on the road. It might not matter all that much if Young is available, but if he's just one big hit away from being back on the sideline, you'd probably like the rest of your team behind the guy who's next in line.

Simpson isn't even mentioned in those tweets, either. He searched his name at some point after the game and then went through and liked them. He has since un-liked the posts.

Simpson was a five-star prospect in the 2022 class from Martin, Tennessee, who heavily considered the Vols during his recruitment. If Young isn't able to go, I'm sure he'll be clamoring again to get on the field at Neyland Stadium — and every person in the stands will know exactly who he is.
