Texas A&M Had One Snap to Beat Alabama and Ran Arguably the Worst Play of All-Time

Texas A&M had one play from the 2-yard line with a chance to beat Alabama and Jimbo Fisher reached into the ol' bag of tricks and pulled out this little number. Incredible.

A&M actually threw an interception on the play before this, but it was nullified by a pass interference penalty — the first time I've seen a call that big go against Alabama in my life. And then Jimbo pissed away the opportunity of a lifetime with one of the worst play calls you'll ever see. That came out of a timeout, too.

Fisher damn near beat No. 1 Alabama on the road and may have somehow made Texas A&M fans even more mad at him than they were coming into today. When the most notable player from your school this century is calling you out publicly, things are not going well.

Just an insanely bad play call. Now the 3-3 Aggies head on the road to take on a South Carolina team which just beat No. 13 Kentucky and then get Ole Miss in two weeks. Things could really spiral out of control in College Station.
