LEAVE THE NCAA TOURNAMENT ALONE - There Are Talks About Potentially Making The Tournament A 90-Team Event
Now, as Norlander (read the entire article) states, this is in the early stages. That's important to know. It's not like people are all about it and this is more for baseball and soccer. BUT, the fact the NCAA Tournament is even mentioned is what I'm worried about. It's not like these guys make the best decisions all the time. They care about money, which, yeah, it's a business. But, I'm not in the business. I'm a fan. I'm a guy who lives and dies with the sport. I don't want anything messed with.
That 3 week stretch of perfection. You know what we don't need? 90 goddamn teams in this thing. If anything it needs to go back to 64. 32 auto bids and 32 at-large bids.
Think your team got snubbed? Tough. Don't lose a bunch of games. Pretty simple math here. I never feel bad for the first team out. They were average. I think arguing seeds is way more important than who should be in. Win your conference tournament or have a better season. Again, not that difficult to understand here.
And I know people will say 'hey what's wrong with more Tournament games?' I don't want the regular season and more importantly conference tournament week to becoming meaningless. I love conference tournament week. It's as underrated as anything in the world. I stand by that. Whether it's low-majors battling for the one bid or that random 8/9 game at noon in the ACC for a spot, I'm all in on it. Win your way in, lose your way out.

I love how simple the NCAA Tournament is. 4 regions, 16 teams in each. There's just something about it that warms my heart. So don't even think about touching it. Don't even think about changing a thing.
