Hot Start To The Warriors Season: Draymond Is Apparently Punching Jordan Poole During Practice, Now Facing 'Disciplinary Action'

[Source] - There was a physical altercation at the Warriors’ practice Wednesday morning that has the team seriously considering disciplinary action toward Draymond Green, sources with knowledge of the incident told The Athletic.

When a heated interaction with guard Jordan Poole escalated, Green forcefully struck Poole and needed to be separated swiftly, sources said. Green and Poole came chest-to-chest, with both players pushing and shoving each other prior to Green’s escalation of the physical altercation, those sources said.

Gotta hand it to Draymond here. This is real mature. Old Draymond would have waited and kicked Jordan Poole in the nuts. New, mature Draymond just goes right to a fight in practice. That's veteran leadership. That's how the Warriors win a championship (again).

I do find it hilarious that the Warriors won a title and Draymond is still getting into shit during practice. Let's get one thing straight here too. This isn't the first or last fight between teammates in practice. But of course it's Draymond. I actually would give him credit if he came out and said something about how he hates preseason anyways and just took a fine and got suspended. But I'm sure we'll get 'it's taken care of in the locker room' type talk.

More importantly we need to know what sort of 'forceful strike' was connected here. Did he connect in the face? Was it really forceful or just kind of looked good but was a graze? These are the important questions that a guy like Shams needs to have out there. That changes everything on how we look at this.

Either that or this is next-level tanking for Victor Wembanyama. Not looking past that either.
