Ungrateful Diva WR Cole Beasley Takes An Unprovoked Shot At Tom Brady Announcing His Sudden Retirement

Cole Beasley [seen above], signed with the Buccaneers on September 20, 2022. Just over two weeks later, he has announced his retirement. Beasley filled in for a suspended Mike Evans and injured Chris Godwin and Julio Jones in the Bucs home game vs. the Packers in Week 3. He did fine with 3 catches for 12 yards on 4 targets. Brady surprisingly threw to Beasley on the first possession of the game on 4th down, which Beasley converted.

The pair had been looking to play together and had discussed as much over Instagram DMs.

“I’m going to be honest: I was hitting him up a lot. I slid into his [direct messages] for sure,” Beasley said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “I’m sure a lot of guys do that. It’s been awhile. He didn’t really say anything until recently.

“I’ve been wanting to play with Brady for a long time, so it’s exciting for me. I’m excited for the opportunity and just ready to get back at it. You know, it’s a humbling experience kind of waiting this long. It’s the first time I’ve never been through a [training] camp. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.” - via Pro Football Talk

But now, just over two weeks later, Beasley is announcing his retirement. That's fine. But the message he included in it rubs me the wrong way.

He didn't need to say anything. Cole Beasley was unsigned this off-season. With news breaking that Tom Brady and Gisele both hiring divorce lawyers there is a huge elephant in the room. For this news to come a day later with the note: “He is ready to be with his family after playing in 11 seasons and it’s time to be a full time dad and husband.” is clearly a direct shot at Tom Brady.

Good luck in retirement you ungrateful turd.
