After 23 Years, I Was Reunited With Derek Jeter

On today's Pardon My Take… DEREK JETER!!! The Yankees legend joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to discuss his playing career, his documentary, the George Bush first pitch at the World Series, and much, much more.

Derek Jeter is my childhood hero. I met him on June 13th, 1999 when the Yankees were playing the Marlins in South Florida.

Fast forward to today's show, and we reminisced on that day 23 years ago (which of course Jeter remembered):

Yes, my AIM screen name was "jakejeter2." Am I embarrassed by that? Absolutely not. You had one just as random back in the day, too. And yes, I was caught writing "Jake Jeter" on my homework assignments instead of "Jake Marsh." It happens. We all had idols growing up, and Derek Jeter was mine.

Be sure to check out the full interview with Jeter on today's show. All bias aside, it was really cool to see how open he was to Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter's questions. Jeter was in on all of the jokes and was really laid back during the entire interview.
