Worcester Mag- Former NFL star Antonio Brown canceled a planned rap performance at Worcester nightclub Whiskey on Water just hours before he was slated to take the stage on Thursday night.

Promotional materials from the event’s sponsor, Boston-based alcoholic sports drink company Vodkyte, said that the night would begin with DJ sets at 8:30 p.m. Brown was expected to arrive around midnight.

At 10 p.m., the Vodkyte Instagram account posted a screenshot of a delayed flight itinerary from Miami to Boston. The flight’s new departure time from Miami was 10:10 p.m. and its estimated arrival time at Boston Logan Airport was 1:25 a.m.

How Worcester can it get?

How Antonio Brown can it get?

If the greatest man to ever strap a helmet on, Thomas Edward Brady, couldn’t get Antonio Brown to show up, how on Earth did the crown jewel of central Massachusetts expect to?

With all due respect to Whiskey On Water and its staff, but red flags should have been flying everywhere the second this subject was even broached.

Telegram- Whiskey on Water owner Michael Erlich said that the venue had booked Brown on Sept. 19, only three days before the performance.

“Our new manager has some entertainment connections in Boston through a promoter, and he reached out to me and said he thought he could get Antonio Brown here,” Erlich said. “I'm like, ‘Sure you can. The Bucs couldn't even get him in the field. How are we going to get him?’”

So they knew who they were dealing with, still scheduled this thing for three days out, and promoted it thinking one of the biggest headcases to ever headcase was going to show up?

Everywhere this guy goes he leaves a wake of destruction behind him. And now it's personal because he fucked with Worcester.

Mass Live - Dacey said that the show had sold more than 200 tickets but did not sell out at its capacity of 280. A large number of people who purchased tickets found out about Brown’s no-show at the nightclub. Many were not surprised by Brown’s failure to appear but expressed frustration.

“It hurts, it hurts a lot,” said Daikari Robinson. Corin Mahan, a college student at Assumption University, was celebrating her 21st birthday and said she went for her dad. “My dad is a huge Steelers fan, I wanted to come to say that I met him,” she said.

Daniel Hutchins, another Assumption University student, said he didn’t believe Brown’s flight was canceled. When asked if he would come back if the show was rescheduled, Hutchins said, “Hell no.”

So fuck you AB. Haven't the people of Worcester endured enough? Look at all these people's nights, probably months, you ruined you spineless asshole.

I'm going to take a page out of my girl Chelsea Clinton's playbook here and take a stand by deleting all of Antonio Brown's songs from my music library and adding him to my permanent "Do-Not-Play-List". He's officially banned. And I encourage you all to do the same.

p.s. - Thank God I didn't fly back to cover this. I would have felt like an even bigger moron than I already do on a daily basis. The only thing that would have helped me get over it would be crushing some Leo's Coney's, grabbing a Regatta for the plane ride, and finishing the night off at Boulevard.

p.p.s.- Never forget one of the all-time no-show's- when Chitty Bang fucked us on the Stoolapalooza Tour. I'll never forget his manager trying to explain like a weasel how he wasn't coming to Dave and Dave's questioning putting him in a million pretzels.
