"I Should Be Playing Regardless" - Kenny Golladay Broke His Silence About Being On The Field For Only Two Snaps On Sunday Vs. The Panthers

Did I write out that headline because it's an inflammatory quote that is causing Giants Twitter to go crazy as they read it without context?

Giphy Images.

However now that are done with today's lesson of why social media is the worst for the price of one click and are now reading this blog, can we all admit that that quote is not a big deal? I mean I would looooove nothing more than for Kenny Golladay to be talking to the media about how he scored two touchdowns on Sunday instead of how he played two snaps on Sunday. But at least he doesn't feel like he is washed garbage that is completely fine looking directly up at David Sills' ass on the depth chart.

Even Golladay's comments about the way everything has played out makes sense when you remember that there's an entire new front office and coaching staff calling the shots now that don't keep every single employee on scholarship like the old regime did.

I don't know if it's the hip, the offseason surgery, or not giving a fuck after years of being on shitty teams along with a big payday. But something has been off with Kenny Golladay as a Giant and we can’t blame Jason Garrett’s Stone Age offense for it anymore. Kenny was never a superstar or anything. But anybody that could put up 1190 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2019 with Jeff Driskel and David Blough as his QBs shouldn't be this bad a few years later.

So I am going to do what I always do this time of year and trick myself into believing everything will be okay with the Giants by reading old stats like this while ignoring everything I've seen on the field so far this season.

You know what? After reading this quote I’m responsibly betting that Kenny Golladay will score a touchdown this week on the Barstool Sportsbook. Not sure if the R word applies here to a sentence like that but we are rolling with it!
