It Is With A Heavy Heart That I Announce That Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, And The Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim Have Been Eliminated From Playoff Contention

How do you know that it's officially football season? The Angels get eliminated from playoff contention. They lost 9-1 on Monday which gave them the "E" in the standings which meant that Mike Trout can officially start planning out which Eagles games he is going to sit front row at. He LIVES for Eagles games in October, nothing he loves more. 64-83 with a -58 run differential, it's not even like they're close to competing! Obviously this isn't a shock to anyone, two generational talents on your team and the last time they made the playoffs was 2014. If you're wondering, they got swept that year by the Royals in the ALDS. It's just laughable every year that they can't do anything in a division that isn't that tough. Obviously the Astros have run it for the last few seasons, but the Mariners were awful for 20 years, the A's are trying to trade anyone with their logo on it, and recently the Rangers have been bad even though they spent $600 million this offseason. It's insane that this team has not been able to put guys around Trout and Ohtani to get them into a Wild Card spot at least. 

They don't get enough shit for some of the awful contracts they have had. Josh Hamilton, Albert Pujols, CJ Wilson, Anthony Rendon, I mean the list goes on and on. So they spend money, but they just aren't good. Hell, they haven't even finished over .500 since 2015. So that is eight straight seasons that Mike Trout and the Angels go home losers before the postseason starts. At least they're consistent with that. Here's to next year for Angels fans, maybe new ownership will do.....something?  IDK, but at least Mike Trout will be in Philly with his A.J. Brown jersey on soon!
