HOLY SHIT! What a finish from Irene Aldana!

Nobody (including me) knew what was happening for a second - I thought Aldana tore her ACL or blew her knee out or something - but on a quick replay, we were able to see the perfectly placed liver shot. It was like when a goal goes top shelf in hockey but gets caught in the upper netting and nobody celebrates for a second, to be honest.

Ironically, the kick hit Macy Chiasson right in her heartbeat tattoo and made her body shut down!

This is the THIRD upkick knockout in UFC history, the first to the body.

Could Irene Aldana be next for Amanda Nunes after that performance, or does she still have some work to do? 

It's tough to say, if you're askin me, given how much of the division Amanda has already cleared out - but that fight was so wild I say fuck it: yes. I thought Aldana was gonna rip Chiasson's arm off at one point, and she definitely proved she can snatch up a submission attempt from pretty much anywhere. That usually makes for an intriguing title bout.
