"Whoops! Coach Speak!" - Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel's Reaction To Dropping An F-Bomb In Latest Electric Press Conference Is Priceless

I've never felt so alive when an NFL head coach takes a podium as I do with Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. You never know what you're gonna get from this guy. Much as I love my Bengals, Zac Taylor is very direct, straightforward and does, indeed, engage in his fair share of coach speak. McDaniel couldn't be more opposite of that.

The Dolphins' YouTube channel initially streamed McDaniel's presser from Thursday, but then abruptly yanked it down/made it private or something. I was like, "What the fuck are y'all doing? I LIVE FOR THIS!!"

Now we know why. He got a little too fired up talking about how deep and dynamic the Fins' front seven is, and how Miami GM Chris Grier should consider annually investing draft capital in the defensive line/EDGE spot.

McDaniel has made me laugh a lot throughout the doldrums of the NFL offseason and training camp, so much so that I dedicated an entire blog to his oratory prowess.

Thursday's 15-second soundbite may be the hardest and longest I've chuckled at anything from McDaniel ever. That's a high bar to clear.

I know all you killjoys out there will continue to harp on his unimposing physical appearance — which he himself has self-deprecatingly poked fun at — or, like, call him lame or some shit. Shove all that nonsense where the sun don't shine, and don't say I didn't tell you so when McDaniel becomes the breakout coach of the 2022 NFL season and leads the Tua Tagovailoa-led Dolphins to the playoffs in the possibly unprecedentedly stacked AFC.

I'm so confident McDaniel is going to back up his unconventional speech patterns with schematic genius and exceptional offensive football that he could throw seventh-round rookie Skylar Thompson under center and make this team competitive. TuAnon is rising, though. Expect us. He's the captain now.
