Jared Bernhardt Is Making It Impossible For The Atlanta Falcons To Leave Him Off The 53-Man Roster
Jamie Squire. Getty Images.It's been a while since the Atlanta Falcons haven't had an elite receiver leading the way on offense. Roddy White, Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley to an extent. Guys who have the ability to completely take over a game if they needed to. But heading into this year, their best receiving threat was a tight end with Calvin Ridley being suspended for the year. So they desperately need someone to step up and fill that void. They need a game changer at the receiver position. A guy who will go out there and make big time plays when you need him the most. They need Jared Bernhardt.

A game winning touchdown in his first preseason game against the Lions last week. And then last night he led the Falcons in receiving with 3 catches on 3 targets for 67 yards. He's had 2 opportunities to prove himself so far and he's made the most out of both of them.
Which makes you wonder how the Falcons could possibly leave him off the 53-man. I mean unless they are actively trying to tank this season, Jared Bernhardt should be starting in week 1.
Selfishly it would be great if he didn't make the team because maybe then he'd make a quick comeback to the PLL and suit up for the Chaos in their first game of the playoffs next week. I would love nothing more than to watch Jared Bernhardt play lacrosse again because he's one of the best players on the planet. But if we're not going to see him with a stick in his hands again, then I guess I wouldn't mind watching him go nuts every Sunday this fall.
