Aaron Boone Lashes Out In Anger To The Media As The Yankees Lose Their Sixth Straight Series For The First Time In Almost Three Decades

21 runs in 11 games. 3 runs or fewer in 12 of their last 15 games. 4-14 in August. Their 15.5 game lead has been shrunk to just 7 over the last 37 games. The Yankees are on the verge of blowing it all as their slide seems to have no end in sight. Looking for positivity, you're never gonna find me being your man. To even the most eternal optimist this is BAD. To blame it all on Stanton's absence is dumb at this point. No lineup in baseball produces this little for that long. It's been weeks of this bullshit, but the last seven have been the most painful.

All of that has led to Boone lashing out on the media. Every day the Yankees lose, they don't score, and Boone is asked the same questions by the media. Is it an effort problem? Do you guys recognize the division lead is shrinking? What's gotta change? Today we got a table slam.

Never a good thing when you have to say "we can fix it."

This was him yesterday

At this point I don't care as much what Boone says to the media. My question is whether he's bringing this kind of emotion to the team in the clubhouse? Is he still being that player-friendly manager who encourages everyone to do their best and give them a pat on the back when things are bad, or is he actually getting on these guys as the losses pile up?

Everyday I hope to see a spark. Somehow a walk off grand slam when down three in extras wasn't the trick. Since that moment they've scored four runs in three games. If they don't turn this around soon I simply won't survive. This is a special kind of fucked up.

Next three games are against Alek Manoah, Max Scherzer, and Jacob deGrom. If you need me I'll be at the bottom of the Hudson.
