Here I thought that the most incredible video of Edwin Diaz coming in from the pen to extinguish a team's best bats was going to be SNY's one shot out of a Scorsese film.

However just like everything else in the Steve Cohen Era, I should've been dreaming bigger. Max Scherzer and Starling Marte weren't even on my offseason Wish List because the broke boi Wilpons destroyed my soul. Now they are both playing for the Mets as Timmy Trumpet announces the arrival of the greatest weapon in baseball in person for another Mets win like a Roman gladiator as Steve Cohen acts like Maximus in his suite as two geniuses thrive in their craft.

Now is there a part of me that is abjectly terrified of Timmy Trumpet playing in Buck Showalter's nuclear arm missile against the motherfucking Dodgers lineup that includes Mookie Betts, Trae Turner, and FREDDIE FREEMAN? Of course! Every single fraction of my soul that still has cancerous Wilpon cells bopping around is imagining all the worst scenarios that can happen. Then I tell those asshole cells to shut the fuck up because we knew that things were going to be this grandiose under Uncle Stevie since this little nugget came to light.
