Here's A Quick Little Reminder Of Why Giannis Is One Of The Most Dominant Basketball Forces On The Planet

Oh hey there. Remember Giannis? It's been a while since his Bucks were eliminated in Game 7 of the 2nd round this summer, so there's a chance you may have forgotten about him. I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you quickly just how ridiculous this man is. In a tune up game against Spain, Giannis went fairly nuts in his 20 minutes of action

I mean what the hell. You saw the line. A cool 31/10/3 while only missing 2 FGA in just 20 minutes is

It's not as if this is shocking or anything like that. Giannis does this shit in his sleep, not just in international competition but during the actual NBA season/postseason as well. I just thought we all could use a little break from refreshing our timelines or talking about Brooklyn Nets drama to appreciate one of the most dominant basketball forces on the planet. I know people don't always love how Giannis plays, it can definitely be frustrating if your favorite team is trying to defend him because he does get away with a lot, but that's just what comes with being one of the best players on the planet. At this point, I just accept it whenever the Celts play the Bucks. Even with that, I don't know how someone could watch Giannis play and not be impressed even after all these years. He just has one level: dominance. A bad game for Giannis is like 25/15/7, it's ridiculous.

I could make the case that he should have more MVPs if not for voter fatigue. I hate that shit. We're probably done seeing guys like Giannis or Jokic win MVPs moving forward just because people want some new blood after Giannis went back to back and then Jokic went back to back. Did you know there have been 7 back to back MVPs since 2001? Depending on how you feel about Derrick Rose's 2010-11 MVP, LeBron could have had 5 straight. I don't think we'll see that shit anymore, even if Giannis is probably the best player in the NBA right now who also happens to be in the early stages of his prime. You sometimes forget this dude is only 27. That makes sense.

If you listen to upset Bucks fans, they'll tell you MIL wins the title last year if Khris Middleton was healthy. It's a decent coping mechanism I suppose. As we enter next season I think most would agree that it's BOS/MIL in the top tier as true title contenders and then a drop until you get to the PHI/MIA/BKN(?)/TORs of the East, so they'll certainly have their chance to back up this claim. The one thing we do know is that as long as you have Giannis you certainly have a chance, and if you happen to get to the Finals there just might be another one of these type of performances waiting for you
