Bills QB Case Keenum Went Incognito At Training Camp To Prank Teammates As A Fan Seeking Autographs And It Was Spectacular

Case Keenum may be my new favorite backup quarterback, or he's at least firmly in second place behind Gardner Minshew after this stunt.

From Keenum's teammates I could spot at the beginning, in order, linebacker Marquel Lee had no idea it was Keenum, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie needed the veteran signal-caller to approach him for a second look before discerning his identity, and tight end Dawson Knox knew right away.

My favorite bits of the entire Punk'd-style video came when Keenum interacted with the security guy and tried to use a 2019 training camp pass to gain access. THE SECURITY GUY didn't know who Keenum was. I was dying. I thought for sure that'd be the funniest bit until breakout receiver Gabe Davis was clearly distracted by the myriad other screaming fans and had zero clue Keenum was staring him in the face. Once Davis blew Keenum off before he could engage in a legit conversation, the QB decided to do the ole ass slap. Then of course Davis knew what was up.

Tight end Quintin Morris got straight-up conned. You gotta say Bills GM Brandon Beane knows his players, because Keenum didn't fool him one bit. That's impressive to be honest. Beane isn't in the locker room every day like all the Buffalo players are — or at least I assume that's the case. Keenum is the ultimate journeyman, yet that little bucket hat and colorful shades weren't enough to fool him.

Left tackle Dion Dawkins, wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins and, of course, face of the franchise Josh Allen round out those who interacted with the mischievous second-string field general. Again, mad respect for Keenum. This video could easily be one of those "try not to laugh" challenges. I know I failed very early on. Not sure whose idea this was, but it was a stroke of genius. The only thing that could've made this better is if Keenum went full heel, antagonized Allen to the point of a physical altercation, and finagled his way into the starting quarterback job ahead of the MVP front-runner, who'd maybe need to serve a one- or two-game suspension.
