It's Now Being Reported That Kyrie Irving "Hates" Sean Marks And Steve Nash, Which Is The Least Surprising News Of All Time

Alright, what the hell is going on here? I honestly have no idea what Sean Marks and Steve Nash have done to both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant other than cater to all their wishes. Last time I checked, these two were the driving forces behind the firing of Kenny Atkinson, who had done a pretty good job with a young Nets roster before those two came to town. They were reportedly consulted when it came to the Nash hiring. I don't think it's news that Kyrie may think Nash stinks, this is the same dude who publicly said the Nets don't even have a head coach

That's usually not the best sign of what's to come. With Marks, what is Kyrie so upset about? That the organization took a stance when he refused to get vaccinated? They even went back on that stance the second the Nets started to win! In October Marks said he wouldn't play until he became a full participant and wouldn't be a part time player. Pretty sure that's not what happened and the Nets immediately changed course seeing as how Kyrie played last year. Is that why Marks is "bad"? Is it because he traded for Harden when both Kyrie and KD wanted Harden? Sean Marks is largely talked about what a solid executive he is given the rebuild he pulled off when he first got the job in 2016. The Nets made the playoffs in Year 3 of that rebuild and were on the up and up but instead gutted their team to appease the two stars. That's Sean Mark's fault? We all saw how things went whenever the organization gave Kyrie any sort of resistance, so is the argument if he didn't do those moves that Marks wouldn't be "bad"?

Or is Kyrie maybe just a little upset that the Nets decided enough was enough with him too and he didn't get that max extension? That feels more plausible. Maybe that and the fact that he hasn't been traded to the Lakers yet. It almost makes you wonder if both KD and Kyrie know that the Nets do not exist to simply carry out each and every one of their wishes or desires. That's not really how things work. Especially when both players aren't exactly living up to their guaranteed contracts.

It was a little confusing and definitely shocking when we got the leak that Durant gave the Nets owner that ultimatum. But now that we have a Kyrie part to it, everything makes a little more sense. If the Nets had given Kyrie that max extension, I'm pretty sure we aren't dealing with this drama today. So is this all in response to how the Nets handled KD's friend? That's insane. Kyrie is a grown man who makes his own decisions. I would certainly hope that KD isn't going through all this bullshit just because Kyrie didn't get what he wanted. I'm willing to give KD the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise with that, but how else could this be explained? They both randomly hate Sean Marks and Steve Nash? Sounds more like they don't like the repercussions of their own actions.

As someone who lived through the Kyrie experience, I can't say I didn't try and warn Nets fans. Shit, I even blogged it

My question is if this is just the latest tactic to get Kyrie traded this summer so he doesn't have to wait until next year to leave BKN. How do we feel the locker room and team chemistry will be? The owner is already saying he backs the front office and the coaching staff, so who budges? I still think in the end, Nash will be the one on the outs and Marks will stay, but what that means for KD and Kyrie is anyone's guess. Can you imagine if they both sat out the entire year? We might officially have moved into the most ridiculous situation in NBA history if that happens. At the same time if you're an opposing franchise, even knowing their basketball talent why would you want to bring this into your organization? I guess if you're the Lakers and you stink and are desperate I could see wanting Kyrie, but unless you're getting the 2027 and 2029 picks from LAL, why would the Nets take on someone like Westbrook. That makes no sense.

This all has to be such a kick to the dick of Sean Marks. All he's done is cater to his stars and ask that one of the stars show up and do what needs to be done to actually play. That doesn't seem too unfair in my opinion. Now he's fighting for his job or at the very least has to tear down the team that these stars asked him to build in the first place. That's rather unfortunate. A shame this is all happening to the Nets and their fans. A real shame indeed.
