The New Axiom Helmet Saved Keelan Cole From Getting Absolutely Decapitated

For all the problems football has had with head injuries forever, we gotta give some credit to the folks over at Riddell, because it seems like their new Axiom helmet works as advertised.

Keelan Cole could have had his head absolutely ripped off during this hit in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, but that helmet absorbed the blow like a champ and Cole seemed to be just fine. The outside of his helmet looked like a baseball coming off the bat in slow motion.

It's good to see helmet technology evolving and working as intended. Hopefully the NFL and colleges push these helmets on as many players as possible and they continue to lessen the impacts of hits like this.
